Sawol Sikdang is an izakaya in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, set away from the subway stations. It serves modum sashimi, mackerel sushi, and tsukune, and orders of sashimi come with a choice of sea cucumber innards; hire sake and grilled herring with mentaiko are also on the menu. The restaurant opens at 6 p.m., and on weekends seats fill around 6:30. Waits run long and ordered dishes sometimes arrive late.
