Unagi Imasho is a long-established restaurant in Kanda Jinbocho, Tokyo, a two-minute walk from Jimbocho Station, and serves only freshwater eel dishes. The sole menu item is unadon, eel over rice with clear soup and pickles, and the rice comes in small, regular, or large portions. The restaurant occupies a three-story building built in 1933, with six counter seats and tatami seating, and the wait after ordering is around 20 minutes. It opens only for weekday lunch and closes when the eel sells out, so by around 1 p.m. it may already be closed.
