Tanukikoji Shopping Street

Tanukikoji Shopping Street sits around Susukino in central Sapporo, a covered arcade lined with drugstores, restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. Megadon Quijote and Daiso sit along it, and capsule toy machines and Cremia ice cream are also found there. The arcade runs about 1 km east to west, from 1-chome to 7-chome, so you can walk it while avoiding rain or snow. It began in the late 19th century and is more than 150 years old, and at night it fills with tourists and locals.
