Donbei

Donbei is a small shop near Sapporo Central Wholesale Market that serves Hokkaido seafood rice bowls and chirashizushi. Its signature dishes are rice bowls topped with uni and ikura, such as uni-ikura-don and manzoku-don, eaten mixed with a special soy sauce. From 7 a.m. it sells a limited chirashizushi menu on a first-come, first-served basis, with self-service water and tea. The day's available quantity is posted at the waiting list, and the chirashizushi ingredients run out early.
