Yasaka Shrine Sando

A stone approach path leads from Gion-Shijo Station toward Yasaka Shrine. Past the west gate, stone lanterns line both sides of the long stone path, and shops along it sell meals and souvenirs. At night the stone lanterns and the shrine grounds are lit, and from the west gate you can look down over Shijo-dori. On summer days the heat is strong even in the shade.
