Sawai

Sawai is a traditional ryokan on Miyagawasuji in Kyoto's Higashiyama Ward, near Gion and Shijo Kawaramachi. Guests stay in Japanese-style rooms with tatami floors, and the owner brings breakfast made in-house to the room. The owner couple hosts guests as family, and the quiet street and traditional buildings of Miyagawasuji are part of the stay. Rooms are generally small.
