Shitakiri-chaya

Shitakirichaya is a Japanese cafe for shaved ice, dango, and tea, located on the path down past the main hall of Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto. The matcha milk shaved ice is served as ice with plenty of syrup poured over it, and dango and warm tea are sold as well. After looking around Kiyomizu-dera, you can sit for a while and rest while taking in the view, and in the cold season people drink amazake or hojicha. The shaved ice is dominated by strawberry or melon syrup flavors and is not a distinctive taste.
