Kiyo-Sanpo

Kiyo-Sanpo is a cafe on the stairs from Sannenzaka to Kiyomizudera in Kyoto, selling matcha drinks and dango. It serves matcha drinks topped with dango and matcha lattes, and customers grill the dango themselves and dip it in mitarashi sauce. The first floor has tatami seating and the second floor has counter and table seats, and foreign customers are asked to order dango and a drink together. Orders are placed before seating, so waiting on the first floor until the food arrives can take a long time.
