Blue Fir Tree is a small cafe near Gion-Shijo Station in Kyoto, run by a mother and daughter, serving pancakes and coffee. The heart-shaped hotcakes are made to order, and the Japanese-style iced coffee is stronger than its Korean counterpart. The Japanese menu board has photos for choosing dishes, and there were limited-time hojicha latte and chestnut milk tea. The space is small, and some couples turned around and left.
