Yahoppo is a standing izakaya about a five-minute walk east of Tsuruhashi Station in Osaka, with roughly ten counter seats. Order from the ingredients on the counter and in the display case, and the owner prepares dishes such as eel rolls, yellowtail hoe, clams steamed in sake, and wagyu tataki, with a small selection of Japanese sake. On a Sunday at 5 p.m. the seats were already partly taken, and the place was full about fifteen minutes later. There is no menu or price list, so you have to ask about what you are ordering before you order it.
