Bollyongsa

Honryuji is a Nichiren Buddhist temple in Higashi Ward, Sapporo. It is the oldest cemetery in Sapporo, founded when Otomo Kametaro built Myokendo in the late Edo period. The grounds hold a large main gate and stone monuments related to the settlement of Sapporo. The main hall has been locked and the gate closed, which has restricted entry to the inner grounds.
