Takeshita Street

Takeshita Dori is a shopping street near JR Harajuku Station and Meiji-jingumae Station in Harajuku, lined with clothing shops, snack stands, gacha shops and cafes. The Uniqlo Harajuku store in Tokyo carries Japan-exclusive Kitty collection T-shirts, and crepes are sold from street stalls. On Saturdays and Sundays, foreign and local crowds fill the street with young visitors. The narrow street gets so packed that seeing the shops on either side becomes difficult.
