Hallim Park is a large park in Jeju where visitors can see caves, a botanical garden, and outdoor landscaping, all near Hyeopjae Beach. The grounds are divided into sections with palm trees, flowers, bonsai, ornamental stones, and peacocks. It was built in 1971, and a slow walk through the whole park usually takes two to three hours, with an electric vehicle tour available in between. The animal enclosures are small, and the conditions for keeping wild animals appear uncomfortable.
