Mentai Yori Hakata Shoboan is a Japanese restaurant on the 9th floor of Amu Plaza at Hakata Station, serving mentaiko donburi and mentaiko set meals. Its Hakata mentaiko mabushi tops sea bream with mentaiko and is eaten in three stages, adding lemon, yamaimo sauce, and dashi in turn. Waiting is requested at a kiosk at the entrance, and numbers are called to enter. On a weekday five minutes before the 11 a.m. opening the waiting number was already 15, and lunch waits run from 40 minutes to two hours.
