Hakata Issou Gion

Hakata Issou Gion is a small ramen shop next to Gion Toyoko Inn serving thick tonkotsu ramen. The broth is a concentrated pork bone soup, and you choose noodle firmness such as futsu or kata, then change the flavor with garlic and takana. Orders are placed by pressing a number on a cash-only ticket machine and handing the ticket to staff, and waits ranged from five minutes to an hour and a half. The pork bone smell inside the shop is strong.
