Ramen Butakin is a ramen shop next to Canal City in Fukuoka that serves jiro ramen. The soy sauce-based broth comes with thick, chewy noodles, and the portion of toppings is about twice that of a typical ramen shop. At the cash kiosk at the entrance, you choose the noodle amount, and staff then ask again about the amounts of garlic, pork fat, and bean sprouts. In summer the air conditioning is weak and the interior is hot.
