Arima

Arima is an izakaya near Gion Station in Fukuoka that grills yakitori over charcoal and draws a mostly local crowd. Skewers of shrimp, chicken hearts, and gizzards are grilled lightly, and otoshi comes as cabbage. The entire seating area is non-smoking, and the floor seating is small but comfortable. Yakitori takes time after ordering, so order early.
