Dongbaekjip

Dongbaekjip is a grilled shellfish restaurant in Cheongsapo, Busan, serving scallops, shrimp and other clams cooked over charcoal. Scallops take on the charcoal smoke, then get topped with cheese, and the meal finishes with a cool clam soup. The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m., and the owner explains how to grill the shellfish and how to make the clam soup. Live clams need about one minute on each side.
