Hana Bunsik

Hanabunsik is an old snack shop in Gwangju's Yangdong Market that serves gimbap, tteokbokki, sundae, jangteo gukbap, and patjuk. The tteokbokki uses chewy rice cakes in a deep, moderately sweet sauce, and the jangteo gukbap comes with perilla seed aroma and red seasoning. The restaurant is known as a place where former President Roh Moo-hyun ate gukbap, and photos are displayed throughout the space. A line forms around lunchtime, and the interior is crowded during lunch hours.
