Furnace Cafe and Lounge is a large cafe and lounge in Gwangju's Sangmu district that serves coffee, bakery items, brunch, and meals. It offers house-made bread, butter scones, cream scones, brunch sandwiches, and sweet pumpkin soup, with pizza and pasta also available to order. The building was renovated from a former wedding hall, so ceilings are high and the parking lot is large, and drinks ordered must be picked up at the counter. On weekends and in the evening, voices, music, and crowds overlap, making quiet conversation difficult.
