Sangmugwan is a historic site in the old Jeonnam Provincial Government area of Dong-gu, Gwangju. During the May 18 Democratic Uprising in 1980, the bodies of victims were temporarily laid here. Maintenance work was completed in March 2026, and the interior of Sangmugwan can now be viewed. The interior space is empty.
