Ginza Station is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza, Marunouchi, and Hibiya lines and sits beneath the Ginza 4-chome intersection. It connects to or is close to Mitsukoshi, Matsuya Ginza, and Ginza Six, making it a base for reaching the shopping district, and signs inside the station use colors and letters. The passage for transferring from the Marunouchi Line to the Ginza Line is about 200 meters long, restrooms are outside the ticket gates, and the Hibiya Line plays the departure melody "Ginza no Koi no Monogatari". The passages and stairs are complex, so exiting from the Marunouchi Line toward Matsuya takes a long time.
