Wonjo Oegajip Jipbul Gomjangeo

Wonjo Oegajip Jipbul Gomjangeo is a specialist restaurant in Busan serving grilled eel cooked over straw fire and seasoned eel. The straw-fire grilling removes the fishy smell and gives the eel a chewy texture, while the seasoned eel is stir-fried to order. The restaurant has operated since 1991 in a converted hanok building, and around 5 p.m. there can be a wait of about 15 minutes. Portions of eel are on the small side and prices are on the higher end.
