Deungchon Choe Wolseon Kalguksu is a kalguksu restaurant in a residential area of Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, across from New Way Church, and serves one dish: mushroom maeuntang. Diners eat the mushrooms and water dropwort from the garlic-heavy broth, then add chewy kalguksu noodles and bokkeumbap in turn. It has operated since 1984 and uses first- and second-floor seating, but a wait begins by 11:30 a.m. on weekdays. Parking is difficult.
