The Sweetree

The Sweetree is a dessert cafe near Balsan Station in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, selling Belgian-style handmade waffles, bingsu, madeleines and financiers. Its waffles use French Le Gall cultured butter and Belgian pearl sugar, and come in more than 19 kinds, from plain to fresh strawberry with cream to blueberry cream cheese, with a crisp outside and a chewy inside. It opens at 10 a.m. and stays open late, and takes delivery, takeout and gift-wrapped orders. The space is small with one table, so seating is limited.
