Tyumonsin Ko

Jumunjin Port in Gangneung is a large harbor where fishing boats dock beside a live and dried fish market. Shoppers buy squid hoe, pufferfish, octopus, and king crab, then either boil them on the spot or eat hoe at nearby restaurants. The market's five-day interval falls on the 1st and 6th of each month, and arriving early leaves parking open and time to walk the breakwater and lighthouse. Hoe involves separate charges for the fish, cleaning, and restaurant service, so takeout is the cheaper route.
