Gyeongpodae is a historic pavilion on a hill beside Gyeongpo Lake in Gangneung. First built in 1326, it was moved to its current site in 1508, and writings and poems by various figures hang inside the pavilion. A free parking lot is a two-to-five minute walk away, and visitors take off their shoes to go up and look out over Gyeongpo Lake and, on clear days, the East Sea. The pavilion and the lake view are the focus, so there is not much else to see.
