Gyeongpo Gasiyeon Wetland

Gyeongpo Gasiyeon Wetland sits beside Gyeongpo Lake in Gangneung, a restored ecological wetland where prickly water lilies and lotus flowers grow. In July and August, pink water lilies and yellow floating heart bloom, and the prickly water lilies raise purple flowers. The site was damaged in the 1970s by farmland reclamation and changes to water circulation, then restored as an ecological wetland. In summer there is little shade, so there is no place to escape the sun and heat.
