Gangneung Okcheon-dong Ginkgo Tree

A ginkgo tree stands in a small pocket park near Gangneung Jungang Market in Okcheon-dong, Gangneung. It is a male tree designated as a Gangwon-do monument, so it bears no fruit. Behind the tree is Bojindang, a Gangwon-do Cultural Heritage No. 6 building erected by Gwon Sagyun in the mid-Joseon period. Bojindang is a hanok byeoldang with a paljak roof, four bays on the front and three bays on the side.
