Yakiniku Champion JR Hakata City is a yakiniku restaurant on the 10th floor of the department store at Hakata Station. It serves wagyu along with kimchi and namul, and Korean dishes such as doenjang jjigae and rice can also be ordered. Arriving without a reservation around 5 p.m. on a Monday led to being seated immediately, and ordering from the Korean menu prompted staff to show photos and explain each cut as it arrived. The premium cuts in the course are fatty and can taste greasy.
