Motoyoshiya

Motoyoshiya is a freshwater eel restaurant in the basement second floor of the Iwataya Honten building in Fukuoka. It serves Yanagawa-style eel seiro-mushi, steaming charcoal-scented eel and serving it over rice soaked in eel sauce with kinshiran and kanryusui. The dining space has only four counter seats, and during quiet hours you can eat without waiting in line. Prices are on the high side.
