Unagiya Kurofune Midosuji Nishishinsaibashi is an eel restaurant in a Shinsaibashi alley, next to Don Quijote, serving unadon and hitsumabushi. The unadon pairs soft, moist eel with a sauce that is not salty, and the hitsumabushi is also eaten as ochazuke with dashi poured over it. The eel is grilled without a fishy smell until golden, and the interior is clean, as if newly opened. The entrance sits deep in the alley, so it is hard to find on a first visit.
