A large statue of a sumo wrestler stands in front of Dotombori Plaza, posed in the unryu-style dohyo-iri stance. It is a distinctive sight in Osaka, a short walk from the Dotonbori shopping street. The statue appeared in 2015 when the surrounding area was redeveloped, and it was renewed in December 2022. It is a visible landmark suited to meeting up with others while visiting Dotonbori.
