Ryu Gwansun Martyr Historic Site

Yugwansun Yeolsa Yujeokji is a historic site in Byeongcheon-myeon, Cheonan. It includes her birthplace, a memorial hall, a shrine, the beacon site, and a monument, and the memorial hall offers a prison-cell experience. The site is designated National Historic Site No. 230 and preserves the birthplace where Yugwansun Yeolsa was born and raised, along with the beacon site that marked the start of the March 1st Independence Movement. The grounds are spread out and the surrounding area is quiet, so Aunae Market and Independence Hall require separate travel.
