Sangdo Tunnel

Sangdo Tunnel is a twin-bore road tunnel linking Sangdo-dong and the Han River, located between Bon-dong and Sangdo-dong. Completed on December 31, 1981, it connects the road from Sangdo-dong to Hangang Bridge via Gwanak-ro, shortening travel distance. Each bore has a 1.2m-wide sidewalk with a soundproof wall on its right side, and the tunnel is 567.8m long, making it narrow for bicycles to pass through. Traffic congestion is heavy during busy hours because of the volume of cars.
