The 168 Stairs Observatory sits halfway up the 168 Stairs in Choryang-dong, near Busan Station. From it, the Busan Station area, Dong-gu, the sea, and the lights of the North Port Waterfront Park are visible in one view, along with the Busan nightscape after dark. The site was built to honor the poet Kim Min-bu, a Dong-gu native, and offers a short look at Busan's history. From the telescope on the third floor of the Ibagu-gil monorail boarding station, the water below Busan Bridge can be seen.
