Tabibito Kitchen is a modern izakaya in Sapporo that serves Hokkaido game dishes such as bear and deer meat. It sits on the second floor in an alley near Tanukikoji, and offers bear steak, deer steak, sea lion meat, and the shop's own beer. Seating is limited, so reservations are made by phone or online, and steaks take about 20 to 30 minutes after ordering. The bear meat is tough enough that the tendons require chewing.
