Kitchen Nagamori

Nagamori is a Japanese restaurant inside Nijo Market in Sapporo that serves kaisen-don and grilled fish set meals. Its signature dish is a grilled atka mackerel set meal, and the fish is grilled over a hearth after the order is placed; the soup can be swapped for crab miso soup. At the counter seats, diners can watch five or six fish being grilled on the hearth directly in front of them. Arriving at 7:10 in the morning can still mean a wait of about 30 minutes.
