Tobiu Ume is a soba and rice bowl shop in the Shintencho shopping arcade in Fukuoka, operating since 1947. It serves tentojidon, a bowl of rice topped with three large fried shrimp and soft egg, and okamesoba, which has toppings arranged to look like a face. Local customers make up much of the clientele, and payment is cash only. The udon and soba broths are on the salty side.
