Akamiya Cowsi

Akamiya Koushi is a wagyu steak izakaya run by a butcher shop, a five-minute walk from Watanabe-dori Station Exit 2 in Tenjin, Fukuoka. Nine cuts are sold in 100-gram units and grilled over charcoal, with porterhouse and beef sando on the menu. At lunch, a course comes with oxtail rice cooked in a pot, side dishes, and gomtang soup, and the chef grills the meat in view of the counter seats. The dinner course is seen as falling short of its price in both composition and satisfaction.
