Hotel Monteleone Fukuoka sits right outside Exit 2 of Watanabedori Station, between Hakata and Tenjin. Its triple and quadruple rooms have ample beds, long-sleeved and long-legged pajamas, and access to a large public bath. The walk to the Tenjin underground shopping arcade entrance takes about five minutes at a slow pace, and luggage can be stored before check-in. Dust and black mold on room walls and in bathrooms, and water stains on the large bath's walls and drains, are drawbacks.
