Robata Shinkawabashi

Robata Shinkawabashi is a robatayaki izakaya on the second floor of a building in central Fukuoka. It grills seafood such as scallops and mackerel over a hearth in front of the seats, and after the scallops are eaten, fried rice is cooked in the remaining broth. The owner explains the cuts and how to eat them, and reservations are made through Instagram. Seating is limited, so walking in without a reservation can mean being turned away when the room is full.
