Uncle Du is a long-running independent cafe in Chang-dong, Seoul, serving coffee and cake. It offers Einspänner, orange ade, strawberry cake, and Basque cheesecake, and customers can choose beans that are either acidic or nutty. The cafe closed once, was renovated, and reopened; the space is large and the restroom is inside. Whole cakes must be ordered two to three days in advance, and the chairs are uncomfortable for sitting a long time.
