Kinotoya Maruiimaiten

Kinotoya Maruiimaiten is a shop inside Marui Imai in Sapporo that sells cakes, soft-serve ice cream, and pastries. The strawberry cake layers cream and strawberries on a moist, soft sponge and finishes it with blueberries. Soft-serve ice cream is available here even when other branches do not sell it, and it has been bought without the hour-long wait common at the airport. Service is not consistent: staff sometimes do not greet customers while they choose cakes, and ribbon wrapping is sometimes left off.
