Mam Tom Yum Kung

Mam Tom Yum Kung is a street stall in Bang Lamphu Market near Khao San Road that sells tom yum kung and Thai seafood dishes. The broth is drawn from shrimp heads and innards, with large shrimp, bamboo shoots and coconut shoots added, giving it a clear sour and spicy taste. Outdoor tables let you order tom yum kung, pu pad pong kari, fried fish cakes, seafood salad and garlic shrimp together, and the stall also draws people for breakfast. Hygiene is lacking to the point that wiping a table leaves old grime on the cloth.
