Ban Nopphawong is a family-run hotel in a converted traditional Thai house in Bangkok's old town, near Khao San Road and the Grand Palace. Rooms have colonial-style decor, wooden floors, large beds and air conditioning. Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are within walking distance, and restaurants and cafes are nearby. The wooden floors and weak soundproofing between rooms let in loud footsteps from above and noise from adjacent rooms.
