Yaowarat Toasted Buns

Kanom Pang Chaowarat Yaowarat is a small street-stall bakery in Bangkok's Chinatown, Yaowarat, selling buns grilled in butter and filled with sweet fillings. Fillings include milk cream, chocolate, egg custard, pandan custard, strawberry jam, and Thai tea milk. Each bun is grilled to order and eaten warm right away, and even arriving at opening means a wait of about 20 minutes. The filling is plentiful enough to run onto hands and clothes, and the sugar is sweet enough to crunch, so bringing wet wipes is necessary.
