Dang Hyang Nirartha Statue

The Dang Hyang Nirartha Statue stands in the middle of Uluwatu Temple in Bali and commemorates a religious and historical figure from the island. Nirartha was a 15th-century Hindu priest who established the Shaivite priesthood in Bali. The statue occupies a high position inside Uluwatu Temple and can be seen from the temple grounds. There is no sign explaining the figure.
