Robatayaki Kaisen Tennoji is a robatayaki izakaya on the 16th floor of the Abeno Lucias building in Tennoji, Osaka, serving sashimi, sushi, and charcoal-grilled seafood. Its signature dish is genshiyaki, in which fish and shrimp are propped around the charcoal and cooked slowly away from the flame, alongside salmon katsu and an assorted hoe of seven kinds. A large hearth in front of the counter lets diners watch the grilling, and sushi can be ordered one piece at a time by QR code. It fills up from early in the day on weekdays and is especially crowded on weekends.
