Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a zoo in Nagoya reachable on foot from Higashiyama Zoo Station, where visitors can see koalas and gorillas. Komodo dragons are also on display, and the grounds include a Medaka Hall and a botanical garden. On a Wednesday morning, on-site ticket waiting was about five minutes, and rowboats can be taken out on the lake. The animal enclosures are small, and the animals are seen pacing in place.
